Klaipeda, June 4 (ELTA) - Forbes, business magazine published in Latvia, carried out a survey on the best business regions in the Baltic countries and announced that Lithuania's city Klaipeda was at the top of the list, whereas Latvia's cities were rated lower: Liepaja was seventh, Jurmala sixth and Ventspils fifth.
The capitals of the Baltic countries were not included in the survey. Lithuania's cities made up the largest number on the list of twenty cities that were rated as the most promising cities in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in respect of business development. The criteria of the assessment involved social and business indicators.
Klaipeda was assessed as the most successful city in the Baltic countries for devising, developing and implementing business plans according to the infrastructure as well as to the well-being and social environment in the city. Another Lithuania's city Kaunas took the second position on the rating list.
